The Link between Gum Disease and Alzheimer’s

A study recently published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease suggests a strong link between advanced periodontal disease and Alzheimer’s. The study looked at levels of Porphyromonas gingivalis, a bacterium commonly found in people with chronic periodontal that could be found in the brains of people living with Alzheimer’s.
