How Dental Implant Technology Works

There is no more effective or long-lasting replacement for missing teeth than dental implants. With proper care and maintentance, they can last you the rest of your life, and are designed to grown into your jawbone, strengthening the bone and the implant alike. Best of all, they look and feel just like real teeth, and can be treated as such.

You can use dental implants if you need to:

  • Replace a single tooth
  • Anchor a permanent bridge of 3 or more teeth
  • Anchor a set of permanent dentures
  • Support a set of removable dentures

At Dentonics, Inc, we do everything we can to ensure that your dental implants give you the results you are looking for. This includes investing in the best dental implant technology currently available. This starts at your initial consultation, when we use Cone-Beam CT scans to create a 3-dimensional model of the inside of your mouth. The model shows us where your teeth are positioned, how much mass is left in your jawbone, and what shape we have to make the dental implant to fit it into the gap in your teeth.

Once the scan is complete, we create your custom porcelain dental implant crown and schedule appointments for your surgeries. The first surgery will attach the titanium base of the implant into your jawbone. We let the tissue around the base heal for a few months, and then replace your temporary crown with the custom porcelain crown in a separate procedure.

If you want to schedule a consultation to see whether dental implants are right for you, then you should contact Dentonics. We can be reached through this website or by phone at 412-487-6910. Dentonics serves patients in Pittsburgh, Allison Park, and the surrounding areas.
