How often should I Visit the Dentist?

Patients visit the dentist for many reasons. From routine checkups and cleanings to complex orthodontic procedures, there’s no one-size-fits-all schedule. When you work with the dentists at Dentonics, we recommend your visits according to your individualized program of treatment.

While the American Dental Association recommends that patients visit their dentist for a cleaning and checkup at least once a year, Drs. Quartuccio and Frye recommend coming in every six months for checkups. That’s because we don’t just clean your teeth, we also look for signs of gum disease and oral cancer. Our general dental exams are comprehensive and effective.

If you suffer from periodontal disease, are missing one or more teeth, or undergo orthodontic treatment like braces or Invisalign, then you’ll need to visit the dentist more frequently. We work with each of our patients to establish a convenient and individualized treatment plan.

Everyone’s needs are unique, and what’s right for you may not be right for someone else. But you can rest assured that Dr. Frye will recommend a custom treatment plan just for you.
